In 2026 we’re launching our first Surf & Wine Weeks across some of Europe’s best coastlines — separate weeks in Lanzarote, Portugal, the Basque Country (Zarautz), Bordeaux and Cádiz. Mornings in the water, afternoons with winemakers, evenings with plates of food that don’t leave you hungry. Each place brings its own mix of swell, culture and personality: volcanic reefs and bright island whites in Lanzarote, long golden beaches and grilled sardines in Portugal, Txakoli and pintxos in Zarautz, Bordeaux reds after dune breaks, and the warm, salty ease of Cádiz.

These trips are about balance — foam on your ankles, wine in your glass, sun on your neck, and that slow, smug feeling of being exactly where you’re meant to be. We’re heading out to surf, taste, explore, make some content, and build the blueprint for future seasons. The aim is simple: a week that feels good in the body and better in the brain.

Surf & Wine Weeks

In 2026 we’re running separate Surf & Wine weeks across five very different coastlines:
Lanzarote. Portugal. Zarautz. Bordeaux. Cádiz.
Each place has its own personality. Its own swell, its own grapes, its own brand of mischief.

You’ll spend a week living that smug, salty, sunburnt life. Good accommodation, walking distance to the water or a short drive to the break. Mornings checking the waves, paddling out, or sitting on the beach pretending to stretch. Afternoons rolling through vineyards, meeting winemakers, tasting bottles that make the day slow down. Evenings eating food that fits the coast you’re on. The rhythm is simple: surf, sip, feast, repeat.

Wine, Every Afternoon

Every region brings something different to the glass:

Lanzarote: bright volcanic whites and punchy island rosés.
Portugal: coastal Arintos, Vinhões, Fernão Pires and fresh Atlantic styles.
Zarautz: chilled Txakoli and that Basque salty snap.
Bordeaux: structured reds, elegant whites, and châteaux with opinions.
Cádiz: fresh coastal whites, Manzanilla, and bone-dry treasures that pair with seafood like magic.

We build tastings into the flow of the week – some formal, some spontaneous, some bottles opened purely because the sunset demands it.

Food That Fits the Coast

No generic “surf camp” meals.
You’ll eat what the region does best:
grilled sardines in Portugal, volcanic veg and seafood in Lanzarote, pintxos in the Basque Country, bistro plates in Bordeaux, and bright Andalusian dishes in Cádiz. Breakfast every morning, most dinners sorted, and enough free nights to wander off and eat whatever locals swear by.

Coastlines, Culture & Controlled Chaos

Each location writes its own script:

Lanzarote: lunar landscapes, black-sand coves, laid-back reef breaks.
Portugal: long beaches, golden evenings, villages that don’t rush.
Zarautz: longboard paradise, old-town energy, and people who know how to live.
Bordeaux: dune breaks, grand estates, slow river towns.
Cádiz: friendly waves, warm nights, flamenco bleeding through alleyways.
