Every year on June 29th, thousands of people climb to the cliffs of Haro — dead centre of Spain’s greatest wine region — and absolutely drench each other in red wine. It’s been happening since the 13th century, it’s a Festival of International Tourist Interest, and yes, it is exactly as good as it sounds. All-inclusive camping, bodega tours, bottomless brunch, and a crew from all over the world to go purple with.
